Lower Mountains Family and Adolescent Counselling

Workshops, Groupwork and Lectures
Apart from counselling and supervision, Peter lectures and facilitates workshops and seminars.  Workshops include ‘Today’s Father’, ‘Parenting Adolescents’, ‘Working with Adolescents’, ‘Effects of Domestic Violence on Children and Adolescents’, and ‘Working with Difficult Adolescents’, Young Fathers, ‘Hey Dad’ program, Parenting Kids with ADHD, Using Narrative and Solution Focussed approaches in working with adolescents, MENDS (Men Experiencing New Directions after Separation), Brief Therapy Interventions for 'drug and alcohol' clients, and Supporting Parents in Developing Self Esteem in kids with A.D.D. and A.D.H.D., Kids in the Crossfire (Parents supporting their children in coping with separation and divorce). Peter runs other courses and workshops on request.

Current workshops:-

 Parenting Teenagers, a six weeks course (from 10am to 12 noon) starting on Tuesday 18th of May 2010 at Blaxland High School, Coughlan Rd, BLAXLAND 2777.  Cost is $60. Bookings essential, phone  4739-5963 stating your name, phone number & the name of the course.

Peter has lectured at the University of Western Sydney (Macarthur), Dept of Community Services Bidura Training Centre, Family Worker Training and Development Program, WESDARC (Western Sydney Drug and Alcohol Resource Centre), UNIFAM, Barnardos Australia and in schools such as St Paul's Grammar.

Peter is a nationally registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist with PACFA (Psychotherapists and Counsellors Federation of Australia), and a clinical member of CAPA (Counsellors and Psychotherapists Association of New South Wales), and the Family Therapists Association (FTA) of New South Wales.
